Alcohol Counselling

As mentioned on the previous page individuals find many ways to cope with emotional pain and one such way is alcohol.

Perhaps we can see why .

Alcohol is very much a part of our daily lives; for example we use it to celebrate life events and anniversaries, we unwind with it at the end of a stressful day, we drown our sorrows.

For many of us it gives no cause for concern.

For others it can be used as way of attempting to cope with life and its traumas. This can start as a way of dealing with a one off situation and then turn into a habit.

This habit can then become its own problem. You know this because of the effect it is having on your life ...ultimatums from partners......days missed from work.....a worry about just how much you are drinking.

I have worked with individuals who have issues with alcohol for a number of years.

I believe that if someone wants to they can stop their dependency on alcohol.

If you would like to work with me on this specific issue I would be happy to do so and of course once your dependency on alcohol reduces you may choose to look at what caused you to drink at high levels in the first place.
